Last night while the Kassel Family was sitting on the deck, Laura said "Mama!"  We know that she really said it because she pointed at me and said it and then repeated it.  Of course, I almost cried!  Our little girl said her first word!  Actually though, I'm thinking that she has said other words, but we just didn't realize it.  She tends to babble and then say what sounds like a real word and then babble again.  It doesn't really matter though because both Andy and I recognized her talking and we KNOW that she meant it!
